IUSA is made up by the following manufacturing divisions: copper and alloys bars, tapes and wires, copper tubing, copper and aluminum electrical wires and cables, smart self management metering systems for electrical energy, water and gas, low voltage electrical devices, protection and disconnection equipment for high and medium voltage applications, distribution transformers, gas controls, gas and solar water heaters, and water tanks and cisterns.
IUSA is one of the world’s largest copper processing companies, and the largest in the Americas. Our divisions are vertically integrated to control management of copper at all stages of processing: from purchase, through casting, refining, and production.
Our copper tubing division manufactures tube for fluid networks (water, gases, oils, and vapors) and specialized tubing for air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating equipment; heat exchangers; radiators; etc.
We manufacture isolated and bare copper and aluminum wires and cables for transmission and distribution of electrical energy in low, medium and high voltage applications.
Due to our quality in manufacturing, we are unquestioned international leaders in production and technology development of smart metering. Also, we have branched into new metering systems for fluids, such as water and gas, on the international market.
As regards to the construction industry, IUSA’s many divisions provide all materials needed for electrical, plumbing, and gas systems on construction projects.
IUSA’s center of operations is located in “Pasteje”, State of Mexico. Covering more than 1000 hectares, Alejo Peralta and Diaz Ceballos Industrial City is home to the consortium’s most important manufacturing complex, where all our industrial processes are integrated so that each item goes through a total production process, from raw material through full assembly.
