A business group the size of IUSA cannot turn its face away from the social conditions in the country. Therefore, it performs an important task in the social, education, cultural, and sport fields.

 

In addition to contributing to the well-being of its workers, their families, and neighboring communities though its social assistance programs (daycare centers, schools, discount department stores), Grupo IUSA helps those with a physical disability or victims of natural disasters. Thus, the Ingeniero Alejo Peralta y Diaz Ceballos Foundation—a private welfare institution for social assistance, promotion of education, and environmental protection—was formed.

 



Plaza Mariana has as its mission contributing to the family economy of Grupo IUSA employees, and that of inhabitants of neighboring zones.

It is made up by different departments, including mini-supermarket, departmental store, IUSA stand, drug store, shoe store, fast food, movie theaters, candy shop, and banking and Internet service area.

 

 



In the area of social interest and sports, the baseball team Tigres was founded, having been officially introduced on April 10, 1955.
